Examples of Electronic/Mechatronic/Opto-electronic Art
All of these examples are areas that can be explored with the equipment available for ECE2883HPC. Some might be too advanced to produce similar results. Some are too simple, in that they only use a small number of lights or actuators, but ECE2883HPC we will actually use from dozens to hundreds. Also, relatively few of these have sensors, but in ECE2883HPC there will be an emphasis on human interaction through some sensing mechanism.
Sand patterns - One transducer has been done. Think dozens.
Dynamic shape display - Way hard, but worth thinking about as a direction.
Dancing Oobleck - Also think bigger than just one.
